No Conclusive Answers from K.H.M.H., A Day after Baby Blunder at Morgue
Last night, we reported on the outrageous blunder at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital’s morgue that left two grieving families shattered. Personnel at the morgue mistakenly gave the body of a deceased newborn to the wrong family. When the right family arrived at the morgue they were informed that their child’s body was mistakenly handed over and that the body had already been cremated. Just before news time on Wednesday, the K.H.M.H. issues a release stating that they are taking the matter seriously and that they have launched an investigation. Today, we reached out to Chandra Cansino, the Chief Executive Officer at K.H.M.H., for an update. Late this evening, a statement came in from the hospital’s management saying, “The K.H.M.H.A. continues to prioritize this matter and is working with all relevant parties to take the necessary remedial actions”. So, that is as much as we have heard from the hospital on the matter, more than twenty-four hours after a deceased newborn was mistakenly handed over to the wrong family for cremation. News Five understands that the family is proceeding with its decision to take legal action against the hospital. We will continue to follow this story as it develops.
