Lolman Logan is Acquitted of San Pedro Murder
Thirty-four-year-old Lolman Logan, a Belizean/American who was on vacation in Belize in 2018, has been acquitted of the murder of Christopher Meighan. Earlier today, Logan appeared before Justice Ricardo O’Neil Sandcroft in a trial by judge without jury. It is alleged that on September twenty-seventh, 2018, Logan inflicted multiple stab wounds on Christopher Meighan. The incident took place inside a room at Central Park Hotel in San Pedro. This morning, Justice Sandcroft handed down his decision and found Logan not guilty of murder. The verdict came after the judge concluded that the evidence against Logan was not sufficiently clear. The Crown had been unable to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Logan committed the crime of murder. Justice Sandcroft noted that that there were numerous inconsistencies in the case and that the burden of proof rests with the Crown. Logan was represented by attorney Leeroy Banner. The trial began in June and lasted two days.
