Nineteen-year-old Felipe Cesar Sanchez, a fisherman of Guerrero Street in the Yabra area of Belize City, is on remand at the Belize Central Prison after he was charged for being a member of a gang.  The Guerrero Street resident appeared unrepresented in the lower courts earlier today where he was read a single charge related to his alleged involvement with the South Side Gang, a criminal outfit that is engaged in committing violent offenses.  Sanchez pleaded not guilty and due to the nature of the offenses, he was denied bail and placed on pretrial detention until September fourteenth, 2023.
