Hundreds show up for vigil for Anatacio Gutierrez

The post mortem on the body of cane farmer Anatacio Gutierrez was performed this afternoon at the K.H.M.H. The result has not yet been released, but what is known is that the body made a stop in Orange Walk for an hour and was transported to his family in San Victor Village in the Corozal District where a wake will be held tonight. His burial is set for Friday afternoon. Last night, family and friends of the farming community gathered in Orange Walk Town for a vigil to celebrate his life. Gutierrez was gunned down at the strike on Monday afternoon in the Orange Walk Town. And tonight, the family is asking that the core sampler be removed and will seek compensation from government.
