Carcamo charged for alleged shooting retaliation
Nineteen year old Alrick Carcamo was shot at last Friday morning on Caesar Ridge Road. On Monday, Patrick Bevans was charged with Aggravated Assault for the shooting. Today, six days after his near death ordeal, the tables turned and Carcamo is being accused of retaliating against one of the two men who he claimed shot at him and identified as Calvin Palma. According to nineteen year old Palma, he was riding his bicycle on Nurse Findley Crescent around nine Monday night, when he saw Carcamo and another man coming towards him. Carcamo allegedly stopped in front of his house and pulled out a nine millimeter pistol and fired four shots at him. But Palma evaded the bullets and ran into a nearby yard. Carcamo pleaded not guilty to a charge of Aggravated Assault and was remanded to Hattieville prison. After the arraignment, News Five spoke with Carcamo’s father, Windell, who says that his son is being wrongfully accused.

“Your son was charged for allegedly shooting after this young man who you are claiming came after your son. So how is it that your son ended up being the accused when he was the one being shot at?”

“That’s what I don’t understand because, like weh I seh, we di mek wah complaint bout dis young man. You know weh di policeman dehn tell me? Di young bwai noh fire no shot atta we, dehn cant arrest he. Like weh I seh, di first time ih happen, dehn let go dis young bwai long wid di next one. Dehn charge one and dehn let go one. Why dehn neva charge he di first time?”
Carcamo is expected back in court on December fourteenth.
