Delvy Hinds Shot Near Family Home

Forty-nine-year-old Delvy Hinds is recuperating after he underwent surgery today for a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Hinds, a fisherman of Iguana Street Extension in the Collet area, had reportedly just left a relative’s yard at the corner of Iguana Street Extension and an unnamed street sometime before eight on Thursday night.  He was walking along the unnamed street that leads to Antelope Street Extension when he came under fire. Hinds had the presence of mind to run back to the yard where he had just exited, but he collapsed at the entrance. He was rushed to the K.H.M.H, where he underwent the surgery and is now in a stable condition. It is not certain if the surveillance cameras in the area picked up the shooting, but police have begun an investigation.
