Dale Saragosa is Spared Jail Time for Drug Trafficking
Thirty-five-year-old Dale Saragosa, a resident of mile two and a half on the George Price Highway, has been fined seven thousand, five hundred dollars for drug trafficking. In May 2020, during a search of his home, police found as many as sixteen pounds of cannabis under a bed in an unused room inside the residence. Today, in the presence of attorney Oscar Selgado, the deliveryman changed his plea to guilty for possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply another. Saragosa, being a first-time offender, and having saved the court time in the matter, was informed by the Senior Magistrate that she can refrain from imposing the mandatory fine of ten thousand dollars. The mandatory fine for drug trafficking is ten thousand dollars and the penalty can be a fine and confinement of three years.
