San Pedrana Wins $50K in Scratch & Win

There is a new Scratch and Win winner. She hails from the island town of San Pedro. She has been buying the tickets off and on for about a year and on Friday night, she purchased a lucky ticket and would go on to win fifty thousand dollars. Today, she travelled to Belize City to claim her winnings and News Five was able to get an interview with her. She says that the money will be used to complete her home on the island.

“I bought the ticket on Friday evening at a little restaurant named Chinatown in San Pedro. I went home and I scratched the ticket and when I realised the number seventeen came up. I didn’t thought I would have won fifty thousand, but then when I scratched and I saw that it was fifty thousand, I was happy and surprise at the same time. I couldn’t believe it. I called my partner and asked him to double check the ticket just to be sure that it was a winning ticket.”
