Man Shot and Stabbed on Antelope Street Extension
A man was shot and stabbed in the Antelope Street Extension area on Sunday night and police say that he came under fire when three men went to rob a shop where he was. The victim, who was identified as Linsford McKenzie, reportedly discharged himself from the K.H.M.H. Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero, who is the Regional Commander of Eastern Division, shared with the media what investigators have gathered so far.

“Around 7:40 p.m., police responded to a shooting at Antelope Street Extension area. Upon their arrival, they found Linsford McKenzie with a gunshot injury to the body. He was taken to the K.H.M.H. where he is presently listed in a critical condition. Information is that he was at home along with two other persons when three male persons came to the house and a struggle ensued between them. One of the persons fired a single shot that caught him and he was also stabbed. The persons then fled from the area. We are seeking one suspect in regards to this shooting.”

“The motive we have established is an aggravated burglary. They wanted to rob the place or the house of personal belongings.”

“His father believes that he may have been set up by the police. Have you received any reports like that?”

“No.”
Reports are that McKenzie discharged himself from the hospital.
