Taiwanese businesswoman shot in robbery

A Taiwanese businesswoman was shot twice on both arms last night by a thief who stole her gun and money. Thirty-nine year old Ai Lian Gu told police that at around eleven-thirty she and businessman, thirty-eight year old Xing Duan Xu arrived at her house. Ai said that when she went to open her front gate two armed masked men attacked her and grabbed her bag which contained an undisclosed amount of money and her licensed nine millimeter pistol. But when Ai struggled with the men, she was shot on both arms before the thieves ran off with her belongings. Punta Gorda police have detained two people in connection with the incident.
