Misunderstanding Between Two Groups Leads to Chopping
A misunderstanding between two groups of men in Independence Village has resulted in a chopping in which all of them suffered varying degrees of injuries, and one of them had to receive medical attention. It happened on Saturday evening. Police did not say what the motive of the incident was, but that they have arrested and charged two of them with several offences. “On Saturday, 9th September 2023, around 5:20p.m., police responded to a report of a chopping at Independence Village. They visited the Independence Polyclinic where they saw Robert Foreman with chop wounds. Also, they found one, Efrain Torres with chop wounds as well. An investigation was carried out into this matter, and we have since arrested and charged Jervis Torres and Carlos Jaime for attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. Information is that these persons were involved in a fight, which resulted in the four men being injured. He (Foreman) is presently in stable condition and is recovering.”
