Sarteneja Fisherman Busted for Out-of-season Conch

Thirty-one-year-old Jose Luis Eguizabal appeared unrepresented before the lower courts today where he was fined for being in possession of fifteen pieces of conch during the closed season. On September nineteenth, the fisherman from Sarteneja Village was busted along the seawall behind the High Court Building where he was in possession of the illegal fishery. Officers reported that they observed Eguizabal tossing the conch into the river. Today he was fined almost four thousand dollars for the offense.
