Doroteo Ical, Protestor
“I am the representative of a small group of the BDF retirees who haven’t received gratuity or pension scheme. I need an explanation either from the PM or Minister Marin. We called the Treasury and they have us around and around like merry-go-round. Whenever we call, they say our documents are on second vetting. That has been going for two or three months. Then after that, there comes the 2019 miscalculation. When we called they told us, “Oh, it’s not our fault. It’s the BDF fault because of the 2019 miscalculation. So we won’t pay for nobody mistake with that 2019 miscalculation.”
