“We’re also encouraging farmers at the same time to use the funds to make investments in the fields to improve yields because that will result in a lower production cost. We also want to embark on some initiatives this coming year in terms of trying to address some of the challenges that we face in the field, because at the moment, cane supply has been coming down and so we see that as an urgent matter that as an industry, we need to collectively work together to try to address. But for now, we just want to signal that positivity related to this record key in price, and as industry and state stakeholders to really let’s come together, collaborate more to try to make the industry more competitive and more sustainable.”
