Another Court Trial Goes in Favor of Meighan Brothers

Brothers Tyrone and Ellis Meighan have beaten yet another case in court. In October when we reported that the brothers were found not guilty of being members of a gang, we also told you that they had a pending case of aggravated assault to answer to. Well, today the brothers received more good news. The siblings, along with twenty-seven-year-old Jayir Flores, twenty-two-year-old Kenrick Gordon and twenty-year-old Jamal Brackett, allegedly ambushed thirty-six-year-old Elroy Jones on April twenty-fourth, while he was walking on Banak Street. Jones alleged that the Meighan brothers were accusing him of stealing a two thousand dollar necklace belonging to their sister. He further alleged that Jayir Flores was armed with a machete and threatened his life.  According to Jones, the men told him that if they did not get the gold necklace by midnight they would kill him and his relatives. Following the altercation, in the same month, Jones provided a further statement indicating to the court that he wanted no further court action. The five accused were remanded to prison despite the request. However, at around ten a.m. today, the five men walked free. The charges were dismissed in light of Jones’ request that he wanted no further court action.
