Escaped Prisoner Captured in Cayo

Late last week, two prisoners escaped from authorities while being transported back to the Kolbe Foundation after appearing in court. The two prisoners managed to pick their handcuffs and opened the door to the van and jumped out just as the van was crossing over the speed bump in Cotton Tree Village. Today, A.C.P Hilberto Romero said they captured one of the escapees in Valley of Peace Village.

“On Friday around 7pm, police responded to information received on the Valley of Peace Road near the Agripino Cawich Bridge. There they found a male person who initiallygave the police a certain name. The officers recognized this person as the wanted person who had escaped from police as Brian Castillo. He was detained and taken into custody. Information is that he was hiding in that area after they escaped.”
