PM Briceño on Barrow: “Everybody Knows Where He Lives”

Earlier today, the media asked Prime Minister John Briceño for a reaction to the matter involving Moses Barrow that is before the Chief Magistrate. PM Briceño told reporters that when it comes to where Barrow resides, everyone knows the address.

“Everybody knows where he lives. Everybody knows that he lives by the Perdomos. You see him most days on midday,  he for some reason he have some… I don’t know, ritual or habit or whatever that he goes with a short pants, a towel around his back and plunges into the sea and just sits down there for a minute and then walks out and he goes back. Everybody knows where he lives. So I think it is the right of the people of Mesopotamia to object for him to, it seems to be falsely, give wrong information.”

“But he is not the only politician who does not live where his electoral residence is.”

“I don’t know about that.”

“Jorge Espat, I think he lives here in his residence and he lives in Belize City.”

“Jorge Espat? No, but he lives also in Benque. He has a house. He lives in Benque, where he is when he’s doing his constituency work, which is most of the time, most of the week. And his family may have a house here because they have a business here too.”
