PM Briceño, “Investigating Present Government is Waste of Taxpayers Dollars.”
As we’ve reported, a senate inquiry into the definitive agreement granted to Portico Enterprises Limited by the previous administration will commence on December fifth. The probe by members of the upper house will look into how the controversial agreement came to be and whether the contract on behalf of Port of Magical Belize was lawful. According to Prime Minister Briceño, his administration has nothing to worry about where the dubious agreement is concerned.
Prime Minister John Briceño
“I have nothing to do with that. That’s something independent that’s being done by the Senate and I’ve said it over and over again, there’s nothing to investigate about our government. We met that Definitive Agreement, we rejected that Definitive Agreement and we said that a new agreement needs to be worked out. If they want to investigate our present government it’s going to be a waste of taxpayers dollars. If they want to investigate what happened before then so be it.”
