Port of Belize to be Acquired by G.O.B.
The House of Representatives will meet on Thursday, and it is likely that it will be the final session for 2023. On Monday, Prime Minister John Briceño alluded to a major announcement that will be made in parliament tomorrow. While we are not certain what that announcement will be, News Five has been made to understand that the ownership and management of the Port of Belize Limited will be changing hands and that the Government of Belize is acquiring the company from the receiver. The sale of the Port of Belize Limited, we understand, is part of a larger settlement.
