Calvin Palma to bring in the new year behind bars
Calvin Palma was charged along with a minor last Friday for Keeping Unlicensed Firearm and Ammunition. But his arraignment was put on hold until Wednesday because Palma claimed that he was suffering from food poisoning. According to Palma, someone brought him fried chicken while he was in a holding cell at the Queen Street Police Station. He says he ate the food because he believed that it was from his mother or brother. But Palma started vomiting, complained of upset stomach and was hospitalized. As it later turned out, it was not food poisoning, but a case of appendicitis. While the charge was delayed, Palma will be spending Christmas behind bars for the firearm offences on December seventeenth when he and the minor were busted in possession of a point thirty-two pistol loaded with six live rounds of ammunition.
