Chinese National Remains Locked Up in Belize for Illegal Entry

Twenty-five-year-old Leopold Solomon Wade met bail earlier today, after being accused of sexually assaulting a sixteen-year-old girl twice in one day.  When the laborer appeared in the lower court this morning, he was read two charges related to separate incidents during which he allegedly kissed the teenager on her cheek without her consent.  On another occasion, Wade reportedly touched the minor inappropriately.  Both incidents are said to have taken place in Ladyville.  Wade appeared unrepresented before a Senior Magistrate where he pleaded not guilty and the prosecutor did not object to bail being granted.  He was offered bail in the sum of two thousand, five hundred dollars, plus one surety of the same amount.  The conditions of his bail specify that Wade is not to contact or interfere with the virtual complainant or any members of her family or any other witness involved with the case.  Leopold Solomon Wade is set to report to court on February ninth, 2024.
