Market vendor dies after being beaten
There’s another murder victim: he is a fruit and vegetable vendor who was brutally beaten at the Constitution Park on December twelfth in what was believed to be a robbery attempt. The incident left Desiderio Garcia with head injuries, a swollen face and bruises to the rib cage and he had been clinging to life in the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. That is until today when he succumbed to those injuries. On the Monday following the incident, News Five spoke to Garcia’s son-in-law and co-workers from the market who told us what happened and wished him well.
