Heritage Bank ATM Stolen from U Mall in Ladyville

A Heritage Bank ATM was ripped from the U Mall building in Ladyville overnight. Sometime around four a.m., culprits utilized a van to execute the theft. The bank has confirmed that the ATM did not contain any money at the time of the incident. This marks another instance of thieves targeting Heritage Bank ATMs, with previous occurrences this month, including attempts in Belize City and on Bullet Tree Road in San Ignacio. Although unsuccessful in extracting the machine or funds in San Ignacio, thieves in Belize City successfully made off with the entire ATM. In May 2023, an ATM was stolen from the Helen Wu store in Burrell Boom Village in a separate incident.
