Though free of carnal knowledge, Sharshente remains in jail

The young girl is being released from the children’s home and will be back with her mother for the Christmas.

“That’s a hard question and a hard answer because if it would be in my hands I would make him disappear. But it’s not in my hands. What would I like for my daughter? She can just jump to another page and live a happy life after this. I know that pain will never come off, but maybe counseling or something will help her. My daughter knows I love her with all my heart and I never thought something like this would happen to her.”

While he was freed of Carnal Knowledge, Sharshente will spend seven months in prison for a conviction for grievous harm and an additional three months for child maintenance. He is to be released in September of next year.
