Horse trainer gets 2 years in jail for stealing 2 doors

26259Thirty-eight year old Garrison Nicholson is known in Burrell Boom as a horse trainer. And it might sound like “rake” for Boledo, but the father of two children is going to jail for two years for stealing two doors. In his hearing this morning, Nicholson pleaded guilty to Theft and claimed that the hard times drove him to commit the crime. He asked Magistrate Sharon Frazer to be lenient and consider that he has children to take care of. Nicholson was then sentenced to one year for the theft and an additional year for an outstanding fine from another theft conviction in October 2009. The stolen doors belonged to Pauline McFadzean of Willows, who has a second home in Burrell Boom. She reported that between the night of December thirtieth and the following morning, two wooden doors and five glass window louvers—all valuing four hundred and twenty-eight dollars—were stolen. The arrest was made after another Boom resident, Lionel Jones, reported to police that Nicholson tried to sell him the doors, which McFadzean later identified as her own.
