Postmortem Concludes Margaret Cleland Was Stabbed to Death
The lifeless body of thirty-year-old Margaret Ann Cleland was found in front of her home in Willows Bank Village last Wednesday. The mother of an eighteen-month-old child was discovered face down, bleeding profusely from the head. Today, a postmortem examination was conducted on the body of Cleland. The autopsy concluded that she died as a result of multiple stab wounds to the body. As we reported, Cleland’s common-law husband, Emeterio Reyes, arrived home from work to find their eighteen-month-old child sitting inside a pond, crying for assistance. At the time, he was reportedly unable to locate Cleland. Reyes then went to a neighbor’s house for assistance. A brief search by a group of men led to the discovery of her lifeless body on the side of a dirt road near her home. Police detained Reyes for question and the child was placed in protective care. To date, no arrest has been made in this murder investigation.
