Darren Banks gets bail despite numerous run-ins with law
He is well known in the underworld and twenty-nine year old Darren Banks, who had been on remand for almost three months, is now out on bail. Banks was kept on remand on two previous occasions for charges of Attempted Murder, but today, Chief Magistrate, Margaret McKenzie offered him a bail of eight thousand dollars. Banks is scheduled to return to court on February twenty-fifth.
Banks and another man, Steven Zelaya, were charged with the attempted murder of Richard Russell and Alex Myers in connection with a shooting that occurred on October twenty-third of last year. According to Russell and Myers, they were walking on Central American Boulevard with another man and when they reached the junction of Banak Street, a car stopped and two men got out and fired shots at them.
