Taxi driver robbed of vehicle by passengers

Thieves also got busy robbing a taxi driver of his keep on Monday night. The incident occurred on north side Belize City on York Street, situated off Douglas Jones Street. Taxi driver, forty-one year old Emmanuel Mah reported to police that he was on Princess Margaret Drive when two men approached him and hired him to take them to York Street. But the men had different ideas as once they reached York Street, the one who sat beside Mah pulled out a silver gun and pointed it at him. Mah said he struggled with the gunman but when the one who sat behind him joined in the attack, they got the better of him and relieved him of his cell phone and blue 1994 Geo Prism car bearing license plates D 5868. The vehicle, valued at around seven thousand dollars, has not yet been recovered.
