Cost of 100lb cylinder of butane goes down again

And while statistics were dismal in 2008 in prices of food and medical care, there is some news that will delight consumers since the price of cooking gas, has gone down again. According to a release late this evening, the Belize Press Office, G.O.B. has approved a decrease in the maximum retail price of a hundred pound cylinder of Butane gas which will come in effect this Wednesday. The price has been steadily falling in line with international decreases in the price of fuel and the last price change was in December. But comparing the prices from eight months ago, May 2008, the prices have done down an average of thirty-six dollars. The new price of butane is as follows: Belize City eighty-six dollars, Belmopan and San Ignacio eighty-eight dollars, Benque eighty-nine dollars, Orange Walk eighty-seven dollars, Corozal eighty-six dollars, Dangriga ninety dollars and Punta Gorda ninety-one dollars.
