He was kicked out of high school in January after he was charged with Attempted Murder for a stabbing incident on Fabers Road that landed one man in the hospital. Today Mark Usher Junior was back in court and it seems he’s changed his weapon of choice because this time he is charged for allegedly being in possession of unlicensed ammunition. Just before nine o’clock on Sunday night, shots were heard on Cairo Street in Belize City and cops in the area found a nine millimeter gun magazine loaded with eight live rounds in an empty lot with high bushes and Usher who was in the area was detained. He appeared in court unrepresented and pleaded not guilty to Keeping Unlicensed Ammunition. He was remanded to Hattieville Prison and told that he has the right to apply for bail at the Supreme Court. Usher is expected to return to court on April fourteenth.
The government of Belize need to get all these youths off the streets .And put them in BDF or something and let them serve the country of Belize or something that will have a positive impact for the country of Belize.
i think the police should bring in some gurgers and take off them “BOGUS COPS” of the streets. there is alot of bad cops that are just pushing the crime in belize……. take those ….. off and bring some new rienforcement…
not only the government but parents need to start to take responsibilty as parents to make sure they make positive changes in the lives of their children,government is already doing what they can do, but it seems that this young boys just want to cause trouble.
these kids dont belongs in jail ,they r young and just making mistakes in their teens,put them in the army they will be very productive and very discipline,they need love and a little patience.
I agree with Sar and Maureen. All that we are doing by sending them to jail, is making them better criminals.As theu will be unemployable once they are out and will go back to the same life style they had and have before going to prison. It they a better solution and i think this could be a viable one.
If u put these young boys in the Army/BDF these youths will grow up with more experience in killing and shooting people.
the only solution would be if the goverment puts a law that no teen be on the streets later than a certain hour permited. i’ve seen young girls like 13 walking the streets with older guys late aorund twelve. young boys riding bike two on a bike early in the mornig around 1:30 am young once seems like students or school boys. my rage is why blame the teens when the parents are permiting the teens to wonder in the wee hours of the morning? i mean, i as a parent sleeping at home and my teen on the streets at that time. that is not being a responsible parent or even a cautious parent. when i was a teen we never had that freedom that teens have. so now with the excess freedom they have we try to control them when we parents unleash the freedom to them as far as they want. come parents wake up be responsible with our youths.
I agree with Unknown Number. These kids dont want love, they dont even have a heart!! When u can just take someone’s life without batting an eye, U need to be gunned down in cold blood yourself!! I say hang them or a firing squad for them.
Saying that passing a law to prohibit this teens from being out at night will curb their criminal minds from being out to commit crime is as dumb as saying that passing a law to prohibit murder and armed roberry will stop them from committing murder and armed robbery cause guess what, its illegal and they still doing it…
THE PROBLEM WITH THIS CRIMINALS IS THAT LAW ABIDING CITIZENS ARE NOT SHOOTING BACK….DROP A COUPLE OF THEM ON THEIR TRACKS AND YOU WILL SEE WHAT HAPPENS…

A big reason these kids are cold blooded killers is because of what they see from the adults around them and their enviornement….Let’s face it, society morals have gotten lower and continues to get that way. What used to be considered bad, is now generally considered good. As countries become more developed and modernize, they aso seem to adapt views and lifestyles that are free, & open. These views and lifestyles most often than not, are deceptions. For example, the music industry (rap, especially) makes biliions of dollars promoting songs that celebrate the black males doing criminal activities such as, carrying guns, killing, pimping and using foul and vulgar language. These songs are heard on the radio, tvs, cds, tapes, in people’s homes, cars, etc. That we actually live in an age, where we allow this type of thing to happern, still bewilders me sometimes. “Music is the food for the Soul.” It can sooth your soul, it can also influence a person’s thoughts, especially the youth. And, the main message they are getting from the media today is, BE DISRESPECTFUL, HATE, DO WHAT YOU PLEASE TO GET WHAT YOU WANT. AND WHAT KIND OF PARENTS, CAREGIVIERS, EDUCATORS, CITIZENS ARE WE TO ALLOW AND TOLERATE THIS???? BUT WE DO. THE MORE COUNTRIES ADAPT AMERICA’S WAYS AND LIFESTYLES, THE MORE PROBLEMS THEY WILL FACE!!!! I just found out the children can call the police on their parents and have them arrested, just like here in America. Now the Minister of Education, wants belize to catch up with America and other countries because he is so concerned about the “children’s rights.” And these are not bad things, it’s just that it is NOT WORKING IN AMERICA, AND IT WON’T WORK ANYWHERE ELSE!!! PRETTY SOON YOU ALL WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE HIGH SCHOOL EQUIPPED WITH “METAL DETECTORS” LIKE WE HAVE HERE IN THE US, TO SEARCH FOR GUNS THAT STUDENTS MIGHT BRING TO SCHOOL.
How about giving investing in these males befor the become “criminals.” Why not provide the children and youths ”FREE EDUCATION.” Invest in their education. It is the key to freedom from poverty and poverty can lead to high criminal activity. Also, building more recreational centers, more parks for the children with basketball, hand-ball, volley-ball courts….amusement centers,etc. How about PARENTS & THE GOVERNMENT OF BELIZE WORK TOGETHER, INVEST MORE IN THE CHILDREN & YOUTHS BEFORE THEY GROW UP TO BECOME COLD-BLOODED KILLERS AND THIEVES!!!!!
some say hang them, others say shoot them, WTF mein…. we are a small nation, we need to start thinking in terms of our welfare. these youths do need some values taught to them, sending them to prison does no good for them. they will be sorrounded by other hardend criminals,relating criminal accomplishments along with the anger building up inside of them while confined to small spaces smelling each other pass wind, just currupts their young and vulnerable mind.these youths become our local terrorist when re-introduced to society, for those who do not get sentenced to hard time, and you know what eventually they do end up getting hard time or getting killed.

MOST of these are hard core criminals. No matter what that cannot be changed!!! The chance to do that was when they were growing up and young. We need to bring back hanging!
