Minor locked up for repeat robbery offences
And a sixteen year old boy has been charged for Robbery after he allegedly stole a cell phone from another minor, a thirteen year old primary school girl. Today, the sixteen year old appeared in the Belize Family Court to answer to the charge. He was denied bail and remanded to Wagner’s Facility after Magistrate Alberta Perez was notified that the boy had previous charges for similar offences. The minor is set to return for trial on January thirtieth. The incident occurred on December nineteenth and the girl says that while she was riding her bicycle on Freetown Road, she was approached by the boy who jacked her cell phone after attempting to take her bicycle.
