Alleged car battery thief remanded for Cemetery Rd. incident

In news from the courts, Edwin Davis, a.k.a. Lieutenant Stitchie, who is known for stealing batteries from cars, appeared in Magistrate Court this morning, to face another charge relating to missing batteries. Davis was charged with Attempted Theft and Damage to Property following an incident this past Monday. Davis was recently charged with several offences involving dishonesty and two of them were struck out this morning when the virtual complainant failed to show up in court. Magistrate Albert Hoard denied him bail and remanded in until January sixteenth, 2009. A mobile police patrol on Cemetery Road allegedly detected Davis attempting to steal the battery from a 1999 Ford Escort belonging to thirty year old Juan Valladarez parked on Cemetery Road. According to cops, Davis ran when he saw them but they were able to apprehend him. Valladarez reported to the police that the gypsy glass of his car, valued at two hundred and fifty dollars was broken.
