Anthony Burgess gunned down and killed
There’s another suspect on the run but here in the city. He is wanted for a shooting that has ended in murder. Shots rang out on Ebony Street just before ten on Monday night and one man was wounded. Hours late he succumbed while at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital. But witnesses say Anthony Burgess, who also goes by the name McKenzie, was not the intended target and was shot under the cover of darkness by a gunman who was allegedly chasing someone else through his yard. Burgess was in the yard fetching water when he was surprised by his shooter; that’s the story we got from his brother who spoke to us off camera today.

Senseless violence like this is inhumume I am proud to be a Belizean but my people make us seem like unintelligent barbarians. Killing our own for what
Alana, was this the Anthony Burgess that worked at the Radisson for a while..use to live in the states?
Either way I’m sorry…very sorry.
I myself is a proud Belizean but crime nowadays, its just out of order.
Everytime I get on here to check the news I see we have another senseless crime being committed. We need to stop being so naive and think that having marches and what not will fix he issue. I think the government has done a poor job in regards to this situation but it is also largely a promblem within our police force. I mean come on i lived in Belize for over 13 years I have seen what the police call investigating and I can do what they do in my sleep! ITS A JOKE! When it comes to the offenders I dont think death penalty will be allowed but i read a few weeks ago on here where someone mentioned hard labor! That to me would be fine but it must go with a very heavy sentence.
