Miss Belize in Johannesburg for Miss World Pageant
She was crowned Miss Belize in the living room of Pageants Belize owner, Margaret Johnson, but that is not stopping twenty-one year old Charmain Chinapen from making an impression in South Africa. The neurosurgery graduate student is preparing for the Miss World competition to be held on Saturday. We found a video of Chinapen on the pageant’s website in which she shared a little about herself.
Charmain Chinapen, Miss Belize
“Hi, I’m Charmain and I’m representing Belize at the Miss World Competition. I’m currently twenty-one years old and I’m performing what I like to call the balancing act; that is studying to become a neurosurgeon full time and performing on stage whether it be singing, acting, dancing or performing. I love to so it all. That’s just me, performing. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication and ambition to be able to balance everything and make it work. But I do that and I love it. I did my country’s first movie at fifteen, called choices where I played the mother of an AIDS victim and it taught me a lot about charities and different awareness about projects in my country. I’m currently in Johannesburg and it’s so beautiful and the people are so warm and friendly. I love it so very much, I can’t wait to see what happens next. Please vote for me at missworld.com.”
You can vote for Charmain by visiting missworld.com. On the website Missosology.org, she is hailed as one of that webpage’s top fifteen hot picks that are expected to do well in the competition. The fifty-eighth Miss World Pageant takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. Some one hundred and nine contestants will be participating in the pageant, breaking 2004’s record of one hundred and seven.
