Toledo police discover and destroy weed plantation
Toledo police made a major weed discovery on Thursday. According to the release, cops visited an area seven miles north of Indian Creek Village and came upon a sizeable weed plantation. At the site were four marijuana fields containing a total of fourteen thousand, seven hundred and seventy-five plants; while a nearby thatched building housed six pounds of processed weed and almost half a pound of cannabis seeds. The illegal discovery also included a sixteen gauge shotgun, and twelve cartridges. As is usually the case, the plants were destroyed by fire.
Toledo police did not detain anyone at the plantation, but Cayo cops had better luck with a house bust. On Thursday afternoon police conducted a search at the Second Street home of fifty-five year old real estate agent, Albert Gordon. Inside the San Ignacio residence, they found six small parcels containing cannabis and crack cocaine and one thousand four-hundred and forty-eight dollars. The total weight of the drugs was approximately three pounds. Gordon has since been charged with the crime of Drug Trafficking.
