Robbers take cash–not gas–from Shell
In other violence, after eight thirty last night there was a robbery at the Shell Gas station located on the Northern Highway at the Ladyville junction with the Phillip Goldson International Airport. Reports are that two masked men, one carrying a point thirty- eight revolver and the other a nine millimeter stormed into the grocery section of the gas station and held up the attendants and a plain clothes police officer. The men ordered the employees to lie on the ground while they relieved the register of several hundred dollars in cash. They then asked the officer, whom the assumed was a customer, if he had anything on him. The officer handed over his cell phone. When the robbers left the building, he pulled out his gun and shot at them, but his gun jammed. The two men got into a maroon colored Mitsubishi Gallant with black tinted windows that was waiting nearby. Strangely enough, the robbers drove past the Ladyville Police Formation without hesitation. It turns out that the officers were unable to chase the men as the vehicle assigned to the station was on the Western Highway where four residents of Western Pine had drowned.

It is a pity that none of the shots from the officer made contact with the thieves.
This should be a lesson learned, keep your firearms clean and well oiled and always carry at least an extra reload.
Not another robbery…
Instead of the ministers getting updated vehicles how bout we give some to the police department then stories like this won’t present a black eye to the department .
