Viewers get their say in e-poll
When we checked our e-poll on our website this afternoon on the response to the question on whether or not corruption was pervasive in the police department, the answer was a resounding yes. The number that responded yes was as high as ninety one percent and only eighteen persons said no. On our IMS and e-mail, the trend was the same. One viewer thought that corruption is rampant and another said that the force is rotten to the core.

One suggestion to seeking redress regarding corruption in the police force! There are a number of Belizeans living abroad who have vast experience in law enforcement and more important, in managing law emforcement bodies. These people have formal training, substantiated by job experiences, enabling them to look at systems, do policy changes and follow up to ensure continuity! We need an “outsider” who has no allegiances!
What is so wrong with that? An outsider that has a feel for home! Just look around and these guys will be discovered!
and no matter what we say it will remain that way….honesty, loyalty and a respect for people is no where to be found within that organization
