Police admit that a plane was submerged on Lighthouse Reef Atoll
On last night’s newscast, News Five broke the story about a suspected drug plane that was found submerged in waters south of Northern Two Caye, in the Lighthouse Reef Atoll. On the same day the plane was discovered, last Friday, a body was floating in the sea. And two days later on Sunday April eleventh, a red cooler with fourteen parcels of suspected cocaine floated to the north end of Caye Caulker. No official release has been made by the Police Department and there may be more to the story than meets the eye. For starters, the post mortem conducted on the body, showed multiple injuries with sharp and blunt objects, meaning that the person, who remains unidentified did not drown. During a ‘sit down’ with the media this afternoon, Commissioner of Police, Crispin Jeffries, said that no official statement will be released about the plane because they don’t want to compromise the investigation. But he did say is that both Mexican and U.S. currency were found on the body. We have also ascertained that there were no identification cards or Belizean currency on the deceased and Jeffries says that they are investigating whether or not the body is linked to the plane. At the time the plane was discovered, solar lamps, presumably used to accommodate a night landing, were observed along the airstrip. The only person on the island at the time was the security guard for a resort, which remains closed until the start of the high tourism season.
we will see if there will be charge and conviction of the security guard or the owner of the resort or another high public officer…

The local cops act as if they didn’t know this was happening. The local Police department is the biggest crooks in the country.
The police continue to contribute to their bad name by waiting so long to come forward about the crash.
The amount of drugs found on the island seems like a little bit of drug to transport on a plane. The man found was murdered, quickly buried, no one to identify him.
Just have to wait and see what the police department is fabricating to tell the media over this particular incident.
At least we get to hear about some money found on the plane, now, were is the rest of it?
yea thats rite ! if it wasn’t for the media that took the news to light,we wouldn’t know what was going on, again corrupt police officers and the comissioner also, and the gov’t.. and with the money the police got it already ! they are covered,why the police dep’t did’t say how much{amount}cash was discovered? I believe they are covering something definetely.
jeffries and his associates need to get their cut before they can release anything…ay man, is this so hard to get? these people will certainly garner no sympathy after their actions lead them where they don’t expect to reach
