Attempted murder charges dropped as victim could not be located

Jervis Valencia

Jervis Valencia

Twenty-eight year old Jervis Valencia was today freed of charges stemming from the attempted murder of Frederick Lynch.  Lynch, also known as Diggy Dap, was shot four times on October third 2008.  He told police that at about eight p.m. that night he was standing near Millard Shop, a Chinese store located on Tibruce Street, when Valencia approached him.  Valencia allegedly pulled out a gun and began firing several shots in his direction.  Fearing for his life Lynch ran but was hit multiple times.  In court this morning, however, a nolle prosequi was entered in the case against Valencia because the main witness could not be located.  It isn’t the first time that police have had trouble locating Lynch.  In last year he was a witness in another incident and failed efforts to locate him led to the accused walking away free of the charge.

I don’t know what else to say.Why keep using tax payers money on these criminals if they are not going to get convicted.Just leave them on the street to kill more people.

  4. Al says:

If Diggy thinks not showing up for court will save him, he is crazy. He just gave Mr Lynch another chance to gun him down. If not Lynch some person connected to the Lynch mob will do the deed. This is a trend that repeats itself time and time again. Wake up and fight back people.

  5. BELIZEAN PRIDE says:

well if his execution is near the end of the year not bad once he don’t kill more persons. it’s good to eliminate this criminals from the street whatever means possible.
