Woman gagged and tied during home invasion
A woman is left traumatized tonight after a home intrusion at her home in the Belama Phase Two area after two thieves broke into her home in the wee hours of Saturday and held her hostage. The woman’s family has asked the police and media to refrain from revealing her name for fear that her attackers might return and harm her again. She reported to police that she was awakened by a loud noise around one on Saturday morning and that when she got up to check what it was, two men attacked her, one had a long barrel gun while the other had a smaller weapon. The attackers gagged the woman’s mouth with a stocking and blindfolded her with a towel. They demanded money and before they left, stole her 2006 silver Jeep worth fifty thousand dollars and jewelry, lap top computers, cell phones and other household effects worth another seventeen thousand dollars. Police have detained one person and are looking for another in connection with the home invasion.
