Mark Gentle apprehended after theft of security guard’s weapon

More than three weeks after security guard, twenty-five year old Leon Howard, was robbed of his service weapon on March thirty-first, the man police believed to be the culprit has been apprehended. Mark Gentle was arrested over the weekend for allegedly sneaking up on Howard and placing a gun to his back. According to Howard, Gentle then stole his Taurus Brand point thirty-eight revolver from his pocket and rode off. The weapon was the property of Triple A Security Company and police say it is valued at one thousand five hundred dollars. Gentle, who appeared unrepresented today, was read a single charge of Robbery to which he pleaded not guilty. Nonetheless, Magistrate Aretha Ford remanded him to the Central Prison until June tenth.
