Gold chain sale used to lure robbery victim

Story PictureAnd in news from the courts, twenty-four year old Kareem “Homes” Williams of Supal Street is currently behind bars for robbing a man of his cell phone and money. The incident occurred sometime after seven Wednesday night when twenty-nine year old Bernard Timmons was driving on Supal Street and Williams stopped him and offered to sell him a gold chain. Timmons says he produced the cash to buy the chain, but instead of handing over the jewelry, Williams pulled out a handgun from his right pants pocket and pointed it at him. Williams proceeded to demand that Timmons had over his belongings and scored a cell phone and three hundred and fifty dollars cash. He was swiftly picked up by the cops and he appeared in court today and pleaded not guilty to the charge of Robbery. But because a firearm was used in the crime, Williams could not get bail and will remain in custody until December twenty-ninth.
