Brandon Michael rearrested for charges dropped in 2007
He was hit with thirteen charges for the December 2005 shooting in Taylor’s Alley which left four persons injured, but last year the charges were dropped against twenty-three year old Brandon Michael, leaving his victims to wonder if justice would ever be served. Tonight the news from the courts is that Michael has been rearrested and once against charged with four counts each of Attempted Murder, Dangerous Harm, Deadly Means of Harm, and one count of Aggravated Assault. Michael appeared in court today and was offered bail of six thousand dollars. His case has been adjourned until January twenty-seventh. Authorities believe Michael walked into the alley on December eighteenth and fired several shots at two women, one man, and a small child. The victims were Lisa Garoy, her four month old son, Leroy Rhaburn, Cynthia Stamp, and Jason Rudon.
Also appearing in court today was a man and a minor who were both charged for burglarizing a home in Vista Del Mar, Belize District. Today nineteen year old Elward McKay and a thirteen year old minor faced charges of Burglary and Damage to Property. McKay was additionally charged with a second count of Burglary and one count of Handling Stolen Goods for another incident. McKay and the minor pleaded not guilty to the charges and the minor was offered a bail of four thousand dollars. McKay on the other hand was denied bail and remanded into custody.
