Denvo Banner also freed of murder charges
Another murder case fell through for the prosecution today in the Supreme Court due to insufficient evidence. This time it is twenty-two year old Denvo Banner, charged with the murder of twenty-eight year old Demsley Arnold, who was gunned down on February sixteenth, 2007 in Belize City. The shooting took place around three-fifteen p.m. at the corner of Vernon Street and Magazine Road and when police arrived at the scene they found Arnold lying on the ground with multiple gunshots to his body. According to an account, two men were seen fleeing the area. One of them, armed with a black pistol ran to Magazine Road towards the river while the second person, who had a shiny pistol in his hand, headed to Vernon Street then on to Logwood Street. Banner was apprehended after the shooting and the second suspect was never located.
