Viewers say imposing a curfew is a start to curbing crime

viewer poll (banner)There is a myriad of suggestions popping up in light of the chilling crime statistics. On Tuesday we posed the question: Do you think imposing a curfew will help to curb crime? There were many responses on the blog, seventy-six percent who polled though it was a start. One viewer said however that “most of the crime happens in broad daylight, and what we need is extra activities, sports and jobs to keep these young people occupied to help them have a sense of accomplishment.”  Another participant wrote: “Imposing a curfew is not the sole answer to this madness but at least it is a start; however appropriate measures need to be put in place to prevent those who are involved in committing these crimes from exiting the city to repeat it in other areas of the country. Twenty-four percent, however, were against a curfew.

Curfew will not fix the problem. Most of the crime happens in broard daylight. Everyday I read stupid statements about hanging criminals. No one want to answer the real questions about crime. The reason why crime is high in Belize.I said before , and I will say again no justice , no peace, and no life is better than another life.We should cry when all people die, and that included ghetto boys.

curfew would not solve the problem not really.what they need is a stronger police force some kind of after school program for the kids, some kind of job training program with job placement after they have completed the program. some kind of ketchin where parents and kids that need a hot meal could go and have one it’s all about manigement i think there is still a lot love left in sweet Belize if every body work togeather.
