Safiyyah has the weekend hits for your entertainment
It’s another long weekend but far from quiet as several businesses will have a variety of events to suit your entertainment taste as well as your budget. Whether it is tonight, Saturday or over the extended weekend, there is sure to be an event for your liking, from a UB bash in Belmopan, to a fund raiser in San Pedro or a dance on Saturday in the City. Safiyyah has the details.
Hey I’m Safiyyah and this is what’s happening Belize.
Tonight in Belmopan, El Rancho will be having a UB Student Government dance called “Roll Out”. This Bash will feature Presidential Sounds; Fada Smith, DJ Robin, and DJ Jazz. They will be giving away lots of goodies. The party will kick off at 8pm and there will be a special price for students with I.D.
On Saturday night out in La Isla Bonita, San Pedro there will a party designed for the ladies. This event will be called ‘Girl’s jus wanna have fun’. This Party will feature 80’s versus reggae. The DJs in attendance will be DJ Tambran and DJ Evin. There will be balloon drops and other giveaways. This is all going down inside Big Daddy’s Club on the beach.
In Corozal on Saturday night Club Cactus is the place to be. They will be having a party called Glow. This party will have lots of giveaways including free drinks for the first 10 ladies and first 10 fellas entering the spot. The music will be provided by DJ Fresh. This is all going down inside Club Cactus in Corozal.
Here in Belize City you can head over to Club Next to check out Ms Dancehall Queen Competition. This huge bash will feature 3 rounds of the best in dancehall dancing and entertainment. The first prize winner will receive $1000. After the competition you can continue to party enjoying the music being provided by Mr. Hype, Belizean Movements and Tagg International.
Seeing that Monday is a holiday you can enjoy a late night out on Sunday. One such place is here in the city over at the renaissance tower where they will be having another edition of Fiesta Latina. This Party takes place every two weeks inside the renaissance tower lounge. The party will run from 5pm to 9pm and the music will be provided by DJ Lindy D. you can go out and enjoy Salsa, Merengue, Cha Cha Cha, Bachata, and Reggaeton.
For the past 4 weeks I’ve been doing various food competitions. From 5lb burritos to 6lb burgers, from dozens and dozens of meat pies to super sized pizza. Here’s a flash back for those of you who may have missed it……
