Diego Witz charged for parcels of cocaine intercepted by cops

We have reported on Wednesday afternoon’s high speed chase by police in an undercover operation in Belize City. Two suspicious cars were pursued since they were believed to have been used for illegal activities. When one of the cars was intercepted, forty-eight year-old Diego Witz, a businessman originally of Corozal Town but now a resident of Punta Gorda, was detained. Inside his white car police say they found parcels of suspected cocaine amounting to close to five kilos. This morning in the court of Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer, Witz was charged with one count of drug trafficking and remanded. The charge read that Witz was in possession of cocaine for the purpose of supplying it to another person. According to Dickie Bradley, attorney for Witz, he will be applying next week to the Supreme Court for bail on behalf of Witz. The other car, a red one, was reported to have been carrying more of the drug but it eluded from police.
I hope they find who was getting ready to receive the parcels and who supplied Witz with the parcels. I want a thorough, courageous investigation to be carried out into the entire network!!!
I want to hear about the raids, I want them to be charged, serve their just time in prison, I want all the connections to be exposed!!! ——— But, that is a silly naive dream.
I hate what the drug industry has done to my country. How it ties our hands behind our backs, supplies guns to our vulnerable young criminals, cowers our politicians, smuggles and launders through bread and butter industries like agriculture, tourism .. forcing us to swallow the sickness of it all … it laughs in our faces!!!
Watching this man being charged is just a speck of light in all the darkness that it is.
And if Dickie gets him off, that little light of hope will flicker out … just like that.
Oh, the audacity of him pleading “not guilty”!!!
I hope all Belizeans see this man and all drug dealers for what they are — the tragic, horrific pain they bring to all of us! From the mansion, the big business, the small business to the crackhead who just broke your into your window and stole your radio, to the man on the bicycle who just shot your friend.
I hope I never live to see a day when we glorify drug dealers the way Dudus is being revered in Jamaica by those sad souls in Kingston.
Keep the candle burning, my police officers, my judicial system. Please.
see what i tell you about dickie bradley, this man have no shame, imagine this man was caught red handed with drug, the same thing that is causing all the crimes in our country DRUGS !!! Why can’t make this man stay in jail for the rest of his life.

Diego Witz is a washed up dumb ….. He was a wealthy drug lord in Corozal Town in the 80’s with tons of cash, properties and cars. Now he is a nobody 10 cent drug dealer who squandered it all. He was recently released from Mexican jail where he spent years for smuggling Chinese into Mexico. I think we should have a 3 strike law where they put away these guys for good.
