Cops arrest Luis Williams for Winchester shotgun

Gun amnesty has been extended for a month and there are still many Belizeans who do not intend to take advantage of the program to hand in illegal weapons without fear of being sent off to prison. Thirty-three year old Luis Alberto Williams Junior probably wished he heeded the warnings as on Wednesday about ten-thirty a.m. San Ignacio Police conducted a search of Williams’ home at the corner Tres Puntas Street and Banquita Road in San Ignacio Town where they found one sixteen gauge Winchester shotgun and four sixteen gauge cartridges. Williams was charged with Keeping a Firearm and Ammunition without a Gun License.
