Island man dies in freak accident
A freak accident has resulted in the death of a San Pedro man. Island police say they visited the polyclinic where they found the lifeless body of thirty-seven year old Jorge Teul Cuc with a large cut to the head. Cuc’s brother-in-law, Edgar Cucul, reported that they were working at a building in the Boca Ciega area hoisting tiles to the second floor. Cucul says during the procedure, the lumber on the fourth floor to which the pulley was connected became loose and the tiles fell on Cuc’s head. Cuc’s body has since been transported to the K.H.M.H. morgue in Belize City where it awaits a post-mortem.
