Ladyville bus drivers battle on the road
The rivalry between the buses companies covering the Ladyville/Lord’s Bank route continues to rage out of control. Last Thursday night, an off duty driver for Ramos Shuttle Service was reportedly attacked by a driver from Skai’s Bus Line, the weapon, a machete. News Five spoke to Ramos’ driver, Aldorae Flowers, who says he has had minor squabbles with his attacker, Allan Haliday, in the past, but he believes the confrontation was the result of ongoing rivalry between the companies.

“Last night I was off duty and while sitting waiting for my friend mother—because I stay overnight at their house for the run that I do at every morning at six o’clock. So while sitting and waiting, this driver from Skai named Allan Holiday, jumped off his bus, came to me and threatened me and told me I will see what he will do to me in two weeks time. I felt I had no problem with this guy so I wanted to know what happened why he came and threatened me. So then I went and I asked him and when I went and approached him, he ran into his bus, grab out a machete and came front of my door and start to fire chop afta me. I then locked di door and came round di bus at the gypsy window and he fired three chops at me too. For what reason, I actually don’t know.”

“So you’ve never had any kind of confrontation with his before?”
Aldorae Flowers
“We had one confrontation last time because of what he did to my ex-brother-in-law. They had some argument out here and I went and approached him and told him that what he did to that little boy was chance because he is a big man. Di little boy is only sixteen. He actually pick up di boy and slam him on the hard ground out here at pound yard. But this has been a problem with all these drivers from Skai. This wah mek di third time I have been threatened and last night I just got enough of it and we even approached their owner, Mrs. Hamilton. When I approached her, she actually watch pan me and tell me she doesn’t want to hear anything because she has a bad headache right now.”
